Innrás í Sýrland er óráð

Tiltölulega einfalt er fyrir stórveldi að ráðast inn í ríki og fjarlægja vonda valdahafa. Ólíkt erfiðara er að setja saman lögmæta ríkisstjórn sem heldur friðinn.

Lýðræðisþjóðir geta ekki farið inn í fullvalda ríki til að hrekja yfirvöld í burtu án þess að tryggja að lýðræðisleg öfl taki við stjórnartaumunum.

Eins og ástandið er í Sýrlandi er sá kostur ekki í boði að lýðræðisöfl komist til valda, hvorki með eða án stuðnings Vesturlanda.

Á meðan svo er á ekki að ráðast inn í Sýrland.
